About Samuel Stuart Hollenshead
I started my career as a photojournalist documenting workers at the World Trade Center after September 11, 2001. Images from this project were first published in The New York Times Magazine and later displayed at The Museum of the City of New York, Grand Central Station and the New York Transit Museum. In my 20s I lived in India where I photographed assignments for The New York Times, The Guardian and Time Magazine. To see my photojournalism, please visit my other website.
In 2008, I began working for corporate, institutional and non-profit clients. Whether I’m taking a portrait of a CEO, photographing students for a college marketing piece or documenting an event with hundreds of people, I enjoy the social elements of the photographic processing. I love meeting new people while delivering images that add value to my client.
When I’m not working for my clients I wander the streets of NYC shooting architecture, design and minimalist photos for my Instagram account. These meditative wanderings keep my creativity flowing.
